About

Everett King Design was born out of a passion for art, a knack for design, and an upbringing in the field of construction. Everett King Waldrep founded the design and art consulting firm after a career in pharmaceutical sales. In a life-changing moment of reflection and through the power of career coaching, she was able to transform what was once a hobby into a successful new venture.

Everett had been spending her weekends helping friends find works of art and making design decisions for their homes. The influence of all those early years spent in museums with her mother and tagging along to work sites with her father, melded with her creative passion. In founding EKD, Everett realized her dream—to create beautiful, functional spaces that make her clients smile.

EKD remains true to that founding purpose. We do this by first getting to know you. Then we translate your unique personality, life, and vision into livable spaces through design and art. Whether you need assistance with a new build, interior design, or art selection and installation, we look forward to helping you create a place that is wholly and happily yours–at home or at the office.

Meet Everett

Everett comes naturally to art, design, and construction. She grew up in Columbus, Georgia in a 1920s Classic Revival cottage, took classes and hung around the Columbus Museum where her mom worked, and visited countless construction sites with her dad as a second-generation custom home builder.

Everett played softball, basketball, and tennis, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in biology. Before founding Everett King Design, she worked for eight years as Director of Education and Marketing for a regional specialty pharmacy. Everett and husband Clark Waldrep are at home in Greenville wrangling their three children and a variety of critters.

Everett loves to create spaces that make you smile—helping friends and clients define and make real their visions for the places they live and work. Whether it is reimagining and renovating spaces or identifying, acquiring, and installing original art, Everett is always a fierce advocate for her clients.

As comfortable wielding a power drill as she is pursuing art in a new gallery, Everett brings her vision, delight, pragmatism, and experience to projects large and small. She asked for a single gift for her 10th Christmas—a power drill. She got it, and her tool kit continues to expand as she works to make clients smile.

Meet caroline

Caroline joined the EKD team in February 2022 as an assistant, but has seen her role grow to collaborate with Everett on room design, project management, and 3D modelling. She graduated with a BA in Studio Art & Concentrations in Graphic Design and Business Administration from Furman University, but has had her eye on interior design since her days of watching in HGTV in middle school.

As an artist, Caroline works in a broad range of media including photography, printmaking, and painting. She enjoys bringing her studio background to the field of interior design and loves to go to antique stores with Everett to select the perfect soulful piece of furniture for clients.

Meet Libby

Libby’s passion for art and color led her to join the EKD team in August 2023. With degrees in Studio Art from Rhodes College and in Interior Design from Converse College, she brings 13 years of design experience and has thrilled us with her eye for color play and textile selection. In addition to her love for wallpaper, Libby paints patterns in any space a client needs.

As an upstate native, Libby and her husband love living on the east side of town with her two kiddos and great dane. In her free time, she loves to paint, spend time outdoors, and go to concerts.
